This coming weekend, March 23-24, we will be in Cleveland Ohio for the Buckeye Regional. If you would like to watch a live webcast of the event, please visit http://team291.org during the competition.

At the Pittsburgh Regional, the RoboCats won the Engineering Excellence Award sponsored by Delphi. This award, according to FIRST, “celebrates an elegant and advantageous machine feature or features. This award recognizes any aspect of engineering elegance that reinforces the principles of FIRST.” This is our first time winning this award in their thirteen-year history.

We were also awarded finalist medals for being one of six teams making it into the final rounds. We, along with teams 279 and 2641, were matched against teams 48, 2614, and 375. We were 2-1 in quarter-finals and semi-finals, but lost 0-2 in finals.

The RoboCats will be attending three competitions during our 2012 season. On March 8-10, we traveled to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. On March 23-24, we will travel to Cleveland, Ohio for the Buckeye Regional. And on April 6-7, we will be in Cincinnati, Ohio for the Queen City Regional.
